Taiwanese director Ang Lee was awarded the Golden Lion for Best Film for his erotic spy thriller 'Se, Jie' (Lust, Caution) at the closing ceremony of the 64th Venice International Film Festival at Venice Lido yesterday evening.

Chinese State Television is currently filming a 50 part epic TV series following the life of Bruce Lee. It is being filmed on location in six countries - should be a show to watch for fans of the master!
Interesting movie news from the New York Times this morning...Hong Kong superstar Tony Leung Chiu Wai is the star of the new Ang Lee film which will be shown at the Venice Film Festival shortly. The film is based on a short story by the popular Chinese writer Eileen Chang and is set in the early 1940s during the Sino-Japanese war, mostly in Japanese-occupied Shanghai.
